My trusted friend, you will be missed so much. The emptiness we feel is so deep, you were so loving, so trustful, so knowing. Take care.

Phillip

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Moussie, We know you are up in Heaven watching over your mom and family just as you always have. Your sweet gentle soul came into our lives to teach us so many things. You taught us to be brave and courageous, kind and forgiving, loving and compassionate, and most of all giving with no expectations. You are an absolute blessing and we know you will continue to take good care of your mom and family as you guide them from heaven above. We love and miss you very much!

Love, Cuddles, Pudding, Aunt Nayer & Uncle Michael

Dear Moussie, With great sadness in my heart I have to accept the fact that you are gone from our lives. However, I am also very happy that you have to suffer no longer from your injuries. Also, I am sure a few smiling people will be waiting to receive you in heaven, where you can run to your heart's content, no more pain.

Love You, Omi I love you Babi Schnabi and Kleine Putzimaus!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know that I don't need to tell you how much I loved Moussie.  He was an incredibly special soul, and I am honored to have been his vet.  I hope that the days that have passed have eased some of the pain associated with Moussie's loss.  I know that our world will never be the same without him in it.  I can only hope he is now frolicking in the fields of heaven with 4 good legs! He was always perfect to me.

Love, Randie

I just got your e-mail. I'm shocked and dismayed...and, oh, so sad. I guess I thought Moussie would go on forever. All I can say is that he had a loving, happy life with you. He will always be remembered for the love, hope and inspiration he gave to everyone. So, so sorry, my friend.

Love, Nancy

I am so sorry for your loss of Moussie. He truly was a remarkable dog and member of your family.  I was completely touched by "The Letter to Moussie" and my thoughts have been with you, your family and Moussie since I heard of his passing. Now Moussie, your father, your grandparents and your other beloved pets and family members are together and watching down on all of you since they are with you every day and continuing to love you all. Moussie is in a great place and at peace. You were all so very lucky to have been in each others lives for many years and I hope you find peace and solace in knowing you will forever be in each others lives in spirit.

Love, Michelle

Phillip just told me the news of Moussie. I can only imagine how saddened you both are at your loss. Through you, I felt as if I knew Moussie as well. Thank you for sharing your love of Moussie, and know that all your good memories will only get brighter.

Love, John

Oh, B, this is heart wrenching! Writing is always a helpful thing. I wish for you that the most painful parts have past. Also, it is a gift to A.) Have living souls around you that can deserve so much love, and B.) Have the courage to love without limits. Many people on this planet never experience such things due to past experiences and fears.

Love, Elise

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Moussie, I remember saving you from a locked bedroom. I remember you greeting me at work in the wee hours of the morning. I remember the joy you brought B in the form of companionship, fun stories and comfort. I remember hearing you greet me when I knocked on the door. When I think of you, I think of the fun I had with you and B at work. It was a wonderful time in my life that I will never forget and will cherish every time I think of it. You were more than just a pet; you were, and always will be family.

Love, Mark, Amy, Maddie, Pita and Claire

Thank you so much for sending me this website and remembrance of Moussie...those eyes!!! I finally had some calm moments to absorb all the information and emotion of the relationship you shared expressed through the journal entries. The minute I saw those pictures, I felt his spirit come through. The amazing effect he had on his human companions...that just shows how powerful that spirit was...!!!!!! Wow....thank you again, and just take comfort in reading all the responses to this website.

Love, Jody

I had the great honor of puppy-sitting Moussie a couple of times many years ago. I was always amazed at how well he could navigate the steps up and down the two-story apartment building on his two and a half legs. Despite the horrors he endured before his life with you, he was always calm and sweet...truly an extraordinary dog. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Thanks for the good cry. As I write this Bingo is beside me on his dog bed snoring. I'm going to get up to hug him now. To tell him how much I love him. Then Bingo and I are going to give a shout out to Moussie and thank him for loving you so completely and with such a heroic heart. Then we're going to say a prayer for the continued healing of your own. Hang in there, girlfriend...I'm glad you had Moussie and I know he's glad he had (has) you!

Love, Jill

My heart sank when I read your e-mail. I knew something wasn't right. It's taken me a couple of days to reply because I was too upset. I can only imagine how saddened you are right now. Moussie was a special companion. I remember how sweet he was. A gentle spirit...and oh, how he loved you! One look into those big brown eyes, and you knew he was special. I know that the angels are with him and that he and your father are together. I pray your heart is on the mend. I sobbed when I read your letter. It is so beautiful! If I could feel such emotion through a letter, then I know that Moussie felt your love for him every day of his life. And if he could have said it himself, I know that he would have said "thank you." "Thank you for loving me and giving me this beautiful, wonderful life." God gave you a special gift in Moussie and he blessed you with so many wonderful memories. I pray those memories are helping you through this difficult time. I love you, B, and I'm sending you the biggest hug that I can through this e-mail.

Love, Trish

I read your letter about Moussie and had to fight back tears! What a loving, heart-warming tribute to such a loyal companion. I know how much he is missed...Moussie truly was a special friend to many.  This was a very special tribute to such an important part of your family. I miss Moussie, too!

Love, Erin

I just went to the Moussie Remembrance page and everyone's thoughts on there show how truly special Moussie was! The praise for Moussie keeps coming in...it's easy to see he was loved by so many people. When I first read Your Letter to Moussie, I cried uncontrollably and then reading your notes from friends and family had me in tears, too. All of it was so moving. It touched me to see my thoughts, as well as so many other peoples' thoughts, there in this wonderful tribute to such a special dog!

Love, M

I am sorry to hear about Moussie. You are the most perfect person to have met and taken in Moussie as you gave his life so much happiness when it could have been total misery. Your compassion is comendable - and even more so since you do it for all the right reasons.

Love, Mrs. Martin

What a beautiful dog...so much expression and love in his eyes! I was watching an episode of "Adoption Tales" on Animal Planet the other day and there was a story that sounded so much like the beginning of the time you shared with Moussie and I was so thankful for all the wonderful people like you and all animal lovers out there who bring so much joy and love and a great home to animals in need...animals who deserve wonderful things in life and deserve to become a part of a loving family. Both you and Moussie continue to be in my thoughts and I'm hoping your wonderful memories are helping you get through this tough time.

Love, Michelle

What an amazing site. I just checked it all out. There is so much emotion. It is a wonderful thing to feel. I feel sorry for those who keep things bottled inside. I hope everything else is going okay for you and the healing has occured.

I'm so, so sorry for your loss. Moussie looked like a real trooper and I am partial to the breed anyway. It's unfathomable to me how anyone can treat such devoted creatures with cruelty as Moussie had been before you found each other.  My new daughter-in-law's pooch was similarly abused before she and my son acquired him and he mostly has no teeth as a result but through loving ministrations, he has found a happy home and safe haven. Truly, such animals are angels on earth to show us boundless love, devotion and loyalty. No words can ever really comfort but know my heartfelt sympathies are with you.

Love, Gail

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am about poor little Moussie. He certainly had a rough start in life, but thanks to you he was loved more than most pets could even dream about. Pets add so much to our lives and I know you'll always miss and love him. I'm sure he's running free on all four legs in Heaven!

Love, Wylie

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's very hard to lose a loved one, very, very hard. But I'm sure you made his days long and loved and full of all a dog could ask for.

Love, Louise L.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So sorry Moussie died but you were like an angel to him! And he loved you so very much. Now he has no more pain in Heaven. He will be watching over you.

Love you, Josie

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry it's been so long since I wrote but I was not in a good place - I could not put into words how I felt when you sent the e-mail about Moussie. I know this sounds selfish but I was finding it hard and didn't want to say the wrong things. I was thinking of you and wish I could have helped. Having my guardian angel, Paddy, has now moved me forward and braver. I could relate to your great words and think the web page is fantastic. I hope it helped you. I know that you will move on with a stronger heart. I know that Moussie was a very lucky soul to have been part of your family and to have a special person in his life like B.

Love, Jannette

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My sympathies for Moussie. We have a pet cemetery at home and I always have fond memories of all our dogs, ducks, guinea pigs, hamsters and hermit crabs. Mom loved animals. Hope to see you soon.

Jon

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My heart goes out to you. The love of a dog is boundless and saying good-bye is miserable and impossible to describe. The good memories must serve to balance the pain - and the knowledge that the parting is just temporary. God bless.

Lucy

Moussie, You were always at Binci's side even at the wedding. Your heart was big enough for life. You lived it and traveled!!! And romped in the fields. Romp in those fields of dog Heaven. And may you be blessed being whole again.

Scott

Very moving - brought tears to my eyes. I've had to make that difficult decision with Smokey and Abby and taken them in; Joe couldn't do it, but as difficult as it is, it is an act of love.
